Sidewinder Drilling’s business footprint covers some of the most prolific and rapidly expanding oil and gas plays in the country. Since the beginning of large scale horizontal shale drilling about ten years ago, we have been involved in early stage exploration through mature developmental drilling in the Barnett, Fayetteville and more recently, Marcellus shales. This experience carried over into horizontal oil drilling in West Texas and New Mexico in 2010, and we are now expanding into the Utica and Mississippian oil plays in Ohio and Kansas. We’ve met this demand for more sophisticated drilling with larger equipment and better trained employees. Since 2006, over $500 million has been invested in the fleet and recently, we sold 33 older, smaller rigs, resulting in a current fleet of 53 rigs including rigs under construction.
Our divisional managers have decades of experience in their respective markets. We are large enough to have multiple yards in each operating division fully staffed with trucking, mechanical, electrical and administrative support and small enough so that you can work directly with our senior management.
